Why us

A real engineer, not a call centre

Local heating engineer servicing a boiler in a Dunfermline home

Seven years on Fife boilers

We have been servicing and repairing heating across Fife since 2019. You get a real engineer on the phone, on your doorstep, and doing the work, the same person every time, not a faceless call centre.

Engineer checking a central heating system during a service in Dunfermline

We check the whole system, not just the boiler

Plenty of so-called services are a quick safety check and nothing more. We test radiator valves, expansion vessels and condensate traps too, so your entire central heating system is safe, efficient and ready for winter.

Worcester Bosch accredited engineer servicing a boiler in Dunfermline

Worcester Bosch Accredited

There is a difference between fitting Worcester products and being a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer. We are trained, audited and approved by Bosch, which means we can register and protect manufacturer guarantees of up to 12 years.

Why us

Built on doing it right

Local heating engineer working on a Fife home installation

Seven years on Fife homes

We've been fitting heating across Fife since 2019. You get a real engineer on the phone, on site, and on the job, not a faceless call centre. The same person who surveys your home is the one who designs the system.

Heat pump heat-loss survey being carried out on a Fife property

Heat-loss survey done right, or not at all

Most heat pump complaints come from systems that were never properly designed for the home. We measure every room, every radiator, every flow rate. That's how you get the savings the brochure promises, instead of a cold lounge in January.

Worcester Bosch accredited engineer working in Fife

Worcester Bosch Accredited and F-Gas qualified

There's a difference between fitting a Worcester product and being a Worcester Bosch Accredited Installer. We're trained, audited, and approved by Bosch, and fully F-Gas certified for refrigerant work. That means longer manufacturer guarantees and a system engineered to the standard it was designed for.

Home Energy Scotland Grant

Up to £7,500 toward your new heat pump, plus an interest-free loan

Own your home in Scotland? You can apply for up to £7,500 from Home Energy Scotland toward an air source heat pump. Rural and island postcodes get a £1,500 uplift, taking it to £9,000 in total. You can also borrow up to £7,500 more, interest-free, to cover the rest of the install.

We'll talk you through what the grant covers, design a system that meets HES specifications, and walk you through the process step by step. This is the Scottish scheme, separate from the Boiler Upgrade Scheme that runs in England and Wales. Hybrid heat pumps stopped being eligible for HES funding on 4 March 2025, so we only design full air source systems.

Worcester Bosch. And only Worcester Bosch.

How it works

From first call to first warm winter

Four steps from inquiry to install. No surprises, no estimates that grow legs.

01

We talk

A quick call about your home, your current heating, and what you're hoping to achieve. If a heat pump isn't the right fit for your property, we'll tell you straight.

02

We survey

A detailed in-person heat-loss survey. We measure every room, every radiator, and check what your existing pipework can carry. Nothing gets designed without a proper survey first.

03

We design and quote

A fixed-price, fully-itemised quote. You see exactly what you're paying for: heat pump, cylinder, radiator upgrades, controls, labour, commissioning. No surprises.

04

We install and commission

Install typically takes 2 to 5 days. We fit, commission, and register your Worcester Bosch guarantee, then walk you through how the system works in your home.

Common questions

Heat pump questions, answered

The questions we get asked most often, with honest answers. If yours isn’t here, just ask.

Will I qualify for the Home Energy Scotland grant?

The Home Energy Scotland grant offers up to £7,500 toward an air source heat pump (up to £9,000 in rural areas), plus an interest-free loan on top. Most off-gas-grid homes and many on-grid homes qualify.

The exact amount depends on your property and circumstances. When you get in touch we’ll talk through eligibility, the application route, and what designing the right system for your home would involve.

Will a heat pump work in my home?

Most homes in Fife can run on a properly designed heat pump system. The key is the survey — we measure your home’s heat loss, assess your radiators and pipework, and design a system that delivers your full heating demand.

Older or less well insulated homes may need a few upgrades to get the best from a heat pump. We’ll flag anything like that honestly so there are no surprises later.

Will a heat pump work in Scottish winters?

Yes. Modern air source heat pumps operate in temperatures down to -25°C and are designed for cold climates. They run more efficiently in mild weather but still deliver full heating capacity on the coldest days.

Properly sized and designed, they keep your home as warm as a gas boiler does — quietly, in the background, for less.

Will I need to upgrade my radiators?

Sometimes, but rarely all of them. Heat pumps run at lower flow temperatures than gas boilers, so some radiators may need to be larger to deliver the same heat output into a room.

Our heat loss survey identifies exactly which (if any) radiators need changing. Most homes need a few swaps, not a full replacement — and we’ll always quote that clearly upfront.

Are heat pumps noisy?

Modern Worcester Bosch heat pumps run at around 40-50 decibels at the outdoor unit — about the same as a quiet conversation. Indoors you typically can’t hear them at all.

Where the unit goes matters too. We’ll position it somewhere it doesn’t impact you or your neighbours, and within the permitted development noise limits.

How long does installation take?

Most installations take 2-4 days on site. The survey and design happen first, the install comes next, then we commission the system and walk you through how everything works.

You’ll get a clear day-by-day schedule before we start, so you know exactly what to expect each day we’re with you.

Could a heat pump work for your home?

Honest design. Clear pricing. Worcester Bosch guarantee. Local heat pump engineers based in Dunfermline.
